The Californian brand is preparing to welcome a “newcomer to the family“. The appointment is set for February 19. According to rumors, it should be the iPhone SE 4.
“Get ready to meet the newest member of the family.” This Thursday, February 13, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, announced the date of the presentation of the next iPhone.
The announcement was made in a message on X, ex-Twitter. The boss of the American giant is therefore giving fans of the Californian brand a date this Wednesday, February 19. For the moment, no official schedule has been revealed.

According to Bloomberg, the design of this third version of the SE, the brand’s “affordable” model, should be completely changed. It should thus resemble the iPhone 14. The home button and the large borders around the screen will no longer be present. It should also have a larger 6.1-inch screen – compared to 4.7 inches for the previous model. Finally, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor should give way to Face ID.
Another new feature is that this model will not have a Lightning port, but a USB-C port to comply with European rules. At the end of December 2024, the measure imposing a universal charger (USB-C) on all smartphones imported into the EU came into force. Apple was therefore forced to stop marketing the iPhone 14 in the area.
Finally, Apple’s generative AI, Apple Intelligence, will also be available on this new iPhone SE 4.
In terms of price, this new iPhone could cost more than its predecessor, which starts at $548. However, it should remain more affordable than the classic models.
