Nowadays, if there’s one thing everyone is talking about, it’s the importance that a tool as powerful as artificial intelligence already has and will have in the future. Without a doubt, the quintessential chatbot that uses this technology is ChatGPT. Behind it is OpenAI, a pioneering company in this field and its CEO, Sam Altman.

The power of the technology created by this company can do unimaginable things. Proof of this is the story recently shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user—

“ChatGPT literally saved me. Last night I wasn’t feeling great, nothing dramatic just a bit off. I Ignored it and went to bed. (I) woke up with stronger pain but stayed calm. Out of curiosity, I typed my symptoms into ChatGPT. It said ‘Go to the hospital NOW.’ Kinda dramatic I thought,” the user recounted.

“I’ve asked it about symptoms before and it never said anything like that, so I listened Meanwhile the pain kept getting worse. (I) won’t go into details but doctors said if I had arrived 30 mins later I would’ve lost an organ. So, AI literally saved me. Thanks OpenAI, I guess,” he concluded, attaching a picture of himself in the hospital.

“I’d rather not go into details, but I’m much better now. I feel great, honestly,” the same user confirmed shortly afterward on social media. What he probably didn’t expect was that the brain behind the chatbot that saved one of his organs would react to what had happened.

“I’m really happy to read it,” acknowledged the CEO of OpenAI, a response that the author of the original tweet thanked shortly afterward. This user’s story has already accumulated more than 1.5 million views on social media. Sam Altman‘s reaction is no less impressive, having already accumulated more than 5,000 likes on Twitter.
